Our Why
The Like Me Library was born out of a desire to provide books to families that include characters that represent their child's difference.
We live in a world where certain characteristics are highlighted and if a child doesn't meet that, they can be looked at as "less than" or lacking in some way. The truth is that our world is made of many beautifully diverse people. The goal is to have all children feel represented in literature in an effort to make them, and their families, feel more accepted.
